A Mu'allim and His Seasoned Car: Part 2
You've chosen a name for your car. You nickname it FERRARI. However, you know your car better. FERRARI is far beyond reality. In fact, your car is an old, sluggish piece of machine which is waiting its time to be scrapped into junks.
To be a FERRARI, your car needs to be made-over. Most of its parts have to be replaced or improvised. You've made a list of things that need to be change. It is a very long list of things. Out of it, you put down your expenditure and your budget. After a careful calculation, your expected expenses reaches the amount of RM 10,000.00. You thought that amount is reasonable.
However, you have a tiny little problem; Where can you get such amount of money?
You think of the possible sources and you find options as follows:-
1) Borrow from your family members
2) Apply for a loan from bank
3) Meet Ah Long, the Loan Shark
4) Save a portion of your monthly income until it reaches the amount
So, from the above, you choose:-
The poll starts now until 2nd MARCH 2012!
In the meantime, since you've chosen FERRARI as the name for your car, you put a miniature of the car on your dashboard.

A Mu'allim & His Seasoned Car (Part 1)
This is a role-playing story. The story would be partly mine and partly yours. How? In this story, at certain point of the storyline, you would be asked to choose the outcome that you want. The choice with the most vote would decide what's next in the story.
So, in this story, you are a humble and kind mu'allim (A teacher). You own a car. A very seasoned one. It is of the same age as yours. Since you love your car very much, you plan to give it a name. Among the names that pop-out your mind are Sweetheart (to show how much you love it), Tuan Guru (to represent the initial 'TG' as your car plate number) or Ferrari Wannabe (since you always fantasize about having one).
Each names have some meaning to you. So, which name would be your choice?
The vote opens until 24TH FEBRUARY 2012!

A Mu'allim and the Innocent Child
It was 2:20 pm. Finally, the final class of the day. He walked to the class thinking of the relief afterwards. What a long day, he thought. As a newbie, everyday is a challenge for him.The first challenge was a new working environment; all of a sudden he got children. Not only one, but hundreds of them. As a single, he was struggling to define the true meaning of fatherhood.
The other challenge was a new bunch of colleagues. He couldn't deny that all of them were great persons, with great visions. They even had greater commitment than him as some of them had a family of their own. The problem was, that commitment had become an undisputable justification to put on most of the burdens to singles like him. He sighed but never made any complaint. There's always a rainbow after a rainy day.
He made his walk with pride carrying all the burden on his broad shoulder. His new children greeted him. He replied with a smile. He taught and did everything to the best of his limited knowledge and skill to discharge his responsiblity for the day. So far, so good, he thought. The children were doing what they were asked. Everything was good until suddenly, he started to lose his grip. The children started to lose their attention. Some started to play. He moved around and patiently asked them to sit and do their work. They obeyed except for one particular child.
With a badminton racket on his hand, that child ran out of the class and aiming the racket like an M-16 and started making firing sound along the balcony. It was a very hot day, and the teacher lost his patient. Almost losing his mind, he shouted to the child. Suddenly there was silence. Suddenly, there was order. But it didn't end there, the teacher kept on scolding the child in English until the end of the day.
The next day, he went to the same class. To his surprise, the child he scolded yesterday came to him and helped him to carry his things. He thought that this child had learnt something from yesterday's scolding. Before he began the class, the child looked at him innocently and asked him in Malay, "Mu'allim, apa yang mua'llim jerit-jerit dekat saya semalam? Saya tak faham lah." Dang!

Welcome!
This blog is a humble attempt to improvise a non-English speaking person into a person who is equipped with satisfactory if not excellent ability and skill of socialising in English. What is meant by SOCIALISING here is the way we communicate among each other, be it in writing or by conversation in a very comfortable and hopefully enjoyable way.
This blog is built upon the conscience and conciousness that English IS NOT an easy language to learn, but it CAN BE MADE easy to learn. It is also bulit upon the idea that in order to conquer the ability of certain language, we must COMMUNICATE as much as we can in that language.
Therefore, based on these ideas, most of the entries in this blog would be presented in the form of stories. It would be interactive at times whereas it is hoped that the reader and the blogger could cooperate to 'scratch each other's back'.
So, sit back and let's SOCIALISE!
